about Visions of Light Photography Show

Established 2009, The Visions of Light Show is a juried photography exhibit of fine art.  Photographers of all levels are invited to submit their original photography for consideration.

“Visions of Light – vision, interpretation and use of LIGHT • A Juried Photographic Exhibit”
The mission of Visions of Light Show [VOL] is to challenge photographers to go beyond producing a technically correct photographic image and demonstrate their use and/or control of light to help define the subject. The light can be natural or artificial; or a combination that enhances the impact, drama, emotion, and/or message of the image. The underlying theme is the vision, interpretation and use of LIGHT.

In 2009, the newly formed Collaboration of Photographers produced the 1st Visions of Light Photography Show at the Tri Lakes Center for the Arts, where the photography group met frequently for meetings and seminars.  The show is a collaboration with the gallery host, Tri Lakes Center for the Arts, and the photography group.  After 5 years or so, the photography group reformed as the Palmer Divide Photographers Group and continues producing the Visions of Light Photography Show, hosted by TLCA.  The Visions of Light Show concept includes providing broad opportunity for photographers of all levels to learn and grow as artist photographers.

Call for art typically opens in November for an annual March show.

The Palmer Divide Photographers Group meets 2nd Mon every month for seminars, photo reviews, workshops and photo shoots.  The group is free and open to the public.
